If you have ever seen a credit card, you likely have noticed that there is a large stripe that is located along the back of the card from one side to the other. With this magnetic strip, there is a lot of information about what the card is, who owns the card, and how it works. Some of the information that we have on credit cards through this magnetic strip are things like who has the card, where the card was issued from, and what the account number associated with the credit card is.
